Meet Dr. Kathryn Shields
Dr. Kathryn Shields graduated from the University of West Indies in Jamaica with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biochemistry. After coming to Canada in 1984, Dr. Shields graduated from McGill University in 1988 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Shortly afterwards, she moved to Toronto and worked as an associate in Brampton, Etobicoke and Toronto, including the Beaches area. Dr. Shields opened her practice on Kingston Road in 1995 has been practicing there ever since.
A member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association, Dr. Shields enjoys many aspects of dentistry including root canal therapy, pedodontics and cosmetic restorations. What she enjoys most is helping nervous patients overcome their fear of dentistry.
In her spare time, Dr. Shields enjoys hiking and has recently returned to ballroom dancing.
Meet Dr. Rena Rabheru
Dr. Rena Rabheru graduated from McMaster University with an Honors Bachelor of Science (HonBSc) before graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Western Ontario. She is a member of several associations including; the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the London and District Dental Society.
An associate at Dentistry in the Beach, Dr. Rabheru enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a particular interest in aesthetic restorations, prosthodontics and oral surgery. Her caring and empathetic approach helps to make patients feel at ease.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Rabheru enjoys biking, reading, teaching aerobics, rollerblading and cooking.
Dr. Rena Rabheru is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Dentistry in the Beach.
